Multinational field training focused on emergency situations has started

The Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is hosting a one-week multinational field training focused on different types of emergency situations. The exercises are carried out within the framework of the “PPRD East 3” program of prevention, preparedness and response to natural and man-made disasters in the Eastern Partnership countries and include both headquarters and field activity components.

The Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs held an information meeting regarding the training.

Teimuraz Mgebrishvili, head of the Emergency Situations Management Service, reviewed the content of the training and the importance of coordinated action between the countries and expressed gratitude to the representatives of the participating countries for their involvement.

PPRD is a technical expert assistance project of the European Union, the main goal of which is to increase the level of prevention, response and preparedness of emergency situations caused by natural and human factors in Eastern Partnership countries.

In the PPRD project, along with Georgia, the main beneficiary countries are Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
