Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia together with the Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, inaugurated the newly rehabilitated Public School No. 2 in Zestaponi.
Accompanied by members of the Cabinet, the Head of Government of Georgia inspected the rehabilitation works carried out at the school and met with teachers. Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized that the development of education infrastructure and the fundamental reform of the education system remain among the top priorities of the Government of Georgia.
Minister of Education provided the Prime Minister with detailed information about the rehabilitation works. Designed to accommodate 1200 students, the school is equipped with both an indoor sports hall and an outdoor playground, a library, resource room, cafeteria, assembly hall, conference auditorium, medical office, as well as technological and natural sciences laboratories. The building is fitted with a lift, heating, water supply, fire safety, sewage and video surveillance systems, and it is fully adapted for persons with disabilities.
The cost of the rehabilitation works amounted to 9 162 850 GEL.
