The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is launching another project in public schools of Georgia – "Profession Policeman" is a new campaign, the aim of which is to introduce youth to police activities and popularize this profession among adults.

Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze, along with the Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, presented the new campaign project to the school community at the MIA Academy. The Minister focused on the importance of police activities and the profession of a policeman. According to Geka Geladze, the new campaign will contribute to the establishment of a relationship based on trust between young people and representatives of law enforcement agencies.

"A very important project has been launched for schoolchildren - "Profession Policeman", which serves the main goal - for young people to learn more about the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They will have the opportunity to visit various units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and learn about the achievements, results, successes and daily activities of police officers on site. We believe that these activities will help get young people interested in the very dignified and proud profession of a police officer", - noted Geka Geladze.

Within the frames of the event, the ministers, together with schoolchildren, visited the stands of various units of the MIA arranged on the territory of the Academy especially for teenagers and attended simulation activities.

The campaign will be launched on November 21, and by the end of the year, up to 4,000 schoolchildren will have the opportunity to visit various units of the MIA, get familiarized with the infrastructure and the specifics of the daily activities of the structural units, and engage in simulation activities.
