Due to heavy snowfall and difficult meteorological conditions, special traffic regimes have been imposed on certain sections of highways.

According to the Roads Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure, all types of motor vehicle traffic are temporarily restricted on the section of the national route from Kutaisi (Motsameta) to Tkibuli and Ambrolauri, between kilometres 39 and 72 (Nakerala Pass). The department has stated that the restriction is due to avalanche risk.

Besides, owing to severe weather conditions, all types of motor vehicle traffic are temporarily restricted on the national route from Sachkhere (Sareki) to Uzunta, Shkmeri, and Zudali.

Temporary restrictions also have been placed on traffic with trailers and semi-trailers along the section of the national Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiatura-Zestafoni road from kilometre 1 to kilometre 106.

According to the Roads Department, the restrictions were enacted due to severe weather conditions, including heavy snowfall and blizzards.

On the same road segment from km 67 to km 106 (Chiatura to Zestafoni), only high-speed vehicles (those with two or more driving bridges) are permitted, while the movement of other vehicle types remains restricted.
