Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Givi Mikanadze visits the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, discussed plans to establish a Center for Georgian Studies

Givi Mikanadze, Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, visited the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he toured the educational infrastructure and met with the administration and academic staff.

During the meeting, the parties discussed future plans for the establishment of a Center for Georgian Studies at the Hebrew University in Israel.

As Givi Mikanadze noted, following the completion of all necessary procedures over the coming months, it will be possible to open the Shota Rustaveli Center for Georgian Studies at the University of Jerusalem within the current year.

In his remarks, the Minister emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Georgia`s higher education institutions. As he noted, the Hebrew University possesses rich traditions and history, as evidenced by the fact that it continues to hold a prestigious position in global rankings today.
