Officers of Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan wanted under the red notine of Interpol.

The detainee was wanted internationally by Interpol at the request of the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Azerbaijan for committing various severe crimes.

As a result of the investigative actions carried out, law enforcement officers detained the wanted person in Batumi.

Currently, extradition procedures provided for by law are underway against the detainee.
