The meeting of Jaba Samushia, TSU Rector, with students ended a few minutes ago.

Earlier, a session of the Academic Council was held at Tbilisi State University, where the issue of unification with the Georgian Technical University was discussed.

In parallel, a demonstration of students who protest the initiative was underway, demanding to attend the session. They are talking about interference in the autonomy of the university, however, in response to journalists` questions, what exactly they are protesting, why the merger and consolidation of educational institutions, as well as improving quality, is unacceptable to them - they cannot name specific arguments.
